about 2 years ago – Sat, Mar 30, 2024 at 08:52:25 AM

Hello again!

MANDRILL P.I. is off to a fantastic start--thanks to you and your support!

And now it's time to announce our first Stretch Goal & Milestone Reward:

That's right! When we pass $3,450, all physical backers will receive this novel's bookmark featuring art from the AMAZING Carlos Trigo. We're already closing in on it, so keep spreading the word about the project. And when we get to 100 backers, all backer names will be listed in the back of the digital edition.

There are many more where these came from, so let's pass these goals and move on to the next ones :)

Also, another huge announcement!

For everyone who backs at a physical level during the first week, you'll receive this awesome FREE GIFT:

If you've finished reading Showdown in Murder City, then you'll recognize this feisty kangaroo. It's Kingston!

Please keep spreading the word about this book. I'd love for tons of people to get their hands on their very own Kingston sticker!

Thank you again for backing MANDRILL P.I.! I'll be back soon with another update, but until then, my favorite part of these updates: highlighting other projects you may be interested in.

WISHFUL THINKING VOL. 1 by JACK RAINES

My friend Jack is back with another ridiculously cool offering from his Wishful Thinking series!

What it's about:

Wishful Thinking is an urban fantasy comic about Jim, an ex-genie who's set up shop as a Wish Consultant in a version of our world where fantasy is beginning to meet reality.

Jim's business has been taken notice by a mysterious Fairy, who offers him a chance for a wish of his own if he's able to fix the wishes of three others. This challenge will put Jim in the eye of some dangerously powerful subjects, first of which begins in issue 2, where a Mafia has captured Jim's first client.

Martin is a cheap leprechaun who's fell into not-so-good graces with a tough crowd.  They want to use his magic to discretely murder one of their own, but a wish of that severity just isn't in his power.   Martin's first step was to get an actual genie, one with the power to make a wish like that.  However djinn, no matter how much they may want to at times, can't kill.  That's where Jim comes him, who aims to find a loophole that makes the impossible possible for the chance to get a wish of his own.

We've funded in less than 12 hours!
about 2 years ago – Wed, Mar 27, 2024 at 05:14:51 AM

Thank you!

I'm blown away by the support for this little cartoon mandrill. You are AMAZING.

But we have 23 days left in the campaign! And it doesn't shut down just because we've met the initial funding goal.

All it means is that publication is now guaranteed. Which is SO exciting, and something for which I’m so appreciative.

But now that we have 23 days left, this is an amazing opportunity to really expand our audience. I hope you’ll help me do so by continuing to promote the Kickstarter campaign on your social channels during the remaining few weeks.

I'll be back in your feed soon to announce bonus Stretch Goals, so stay tuned for some cool upgrades to rewards.

Before I sign off on this update, it's time for my favorite part of these updates: sharing projects by other creators! Click the images or the links to check out their pages.

WURST & MAYHEM #1 by COMMONWEALTH COMIX

My friends John Edingfield II and Ryan Kroboth have launched this all new series, and it looks awesome. These are the amazing creators of Rancidville and Sunmaker, so you know it's gonna be great.

Wurst & Mayhem is a medieval caustic adventure series for mature readers. This overstuffed 58 Page first issue of Wurst & Mayhem follows two strangers who must work together to pay a debt after destroying a bar owner’s property. It is set in, and makes fun of, the middle ages.
