Thank you again for backing MANDRILL P.I.! I'll be back soon with another update, but until then, my favorite part of these updates: highlighting other projects you may be interested in.
A series of six self-contained stories, each featuring linework by a unique artist, set in a weird west land cursed by the supernatural.
Jake Sunrise is a speechless bounty-hunting vaquero, infamously renowned and long-thought retired or dead. Those few who have witnessed his work and survived dare not speak of his werewolf's curse.
This series follows Jake's exploits as he encounters mystic cults, poltergeists, cannibal mutant hillbillies, a vampire circus, a sasquatch, and the reanimated dead. Seen from the perspective of the survivors, a sketch of the man who is Jake Sunrise begins to form.
In the midst of a global pandemic, a lost boy is forced to grow up when his mother falls ill. Lost in desperation, he escapes to Neverland. He quickly discovers it's no longer the happy fairytale land from his bedtime stories. A mysterious darkness has settled in, and all magic has faded away. He must embark on an epic quest alongside a familiar cast of characters to find Peter Pan and save the island.
Can he bring light back to the darkness OR will he remain forever lost in... The Neverland
Welcome to a world of vengeful witches, powerful djinn, and lost history with an Ottoman-Turkish twist! Nuriye and her familiar Shale lived peaceful lives in the kingdom of Denilara, learning magic and reading lots of books. But all that changed when the witch Yahti the World Eater returned to enact her long held vengeance on Nuriye's home! The only way to stop her may lay in an old legend from the lost past...the legend of the Alchemist of Aurillia!
In order to enter the Great Library of Nehira, Nuriye and the crew need a royal seal. Thankfully, Aiza's uncle is the sultan of al-Diya, so all they have to do is pay him a visit!
Thanks to some exaggerated storytelling, Nuriye is caught in the middle of some complicated diplomacy. Ambassadors claiming to be al-Diya's ally Kurzan have appeared. But Aiza's been on a quest to find the missing Queen of Kurzan (and her girlfriend) Aaliyah. If Aaliyah has yet to be found, than who are these mysterious fellows?
Will Nuriye be able to stop an international crisis before Aiza's family ends up in a trap? An unexpected ally could be key...if she can survive her encounter with him!

Hello again!
I need some help.
I've heard from readers that they want METAL BOOKMARKS. In an effort to give the people what they want, I will be offering a metal bookmark as an add-on option. But I can't decide about which design YOU would be most excited!
Below are two trading-card size options. Comment on this post with your choice of either A or B.
On Sunday, I'll make the winning design available as a highly limited add-on AND I'll randomly choose one lucky responder to receive the metal bookmark for free!
A
B
I'll be closing the voting period Saturday at 11:59PM PST. I'll be back in your feed on Sunday to announce the winning design (and the winner of a free metal bookmark!).
Also, another huge announcement!
There's another add-on that I'm excited to announce:
For the next 2 days only, physical copies of my comedic sci-fi series, The Multiverse Askew Trilogy, will be available as an add-on for 33% off!
What's it about?
A mischief god. Reincarnated dictators. Cosmic teddy bears. The Multiverse is a weird place. Unfortunately, its fate lies in the hands of the laziest guy on Earth. We're in trouble...
Kickstarter can make it a little tricky to update your add-ons, so here's how you do so:
On app: go to the "Manage Pledge" tab in Kickstarter, click the "..." tab at the top right, and then click "Edit Reward." Click on the reward you already chose and then the add-on section will pop up. Scroll down to "The Multiverse Askew Trilogy (33% Off)" and add it to your pledge.
On desktop: click the "Manage your pledge" tab at the top, click "change reward," and click on the reward you already chose. Once you hit "continue," the add-on section will pop up. Scroll down to "The Multiverse Askew Trilogy (33% Off)" and add it to your pledge.
I'll be on a show this Sunday. I'd love for you to tune in!

If you love anthropomorphic animals, then this comic is perfect for you.
The Bad Wabbit series is an ongoing story of the redemption of an alcoholic, antisocial rabbit in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world.
Throughout the series, the main character, Wabbit, will learn to cope with his traumatic past and how to mend the broken pieces of himself. With his porcine pal, Toxic Pig, they will brave the harsh, unforgiving world, meeting new characters and reluctantly helping those who cannot help themselves.
Goblins VS Trolls #1 is a fun, fantasy-adventure comic about defending the people and places you love from the powers of chaos!
Sophie and Dank are veteran goblin fighters. Years of teeth-gritting action have turned them into seasoned adventurers. They are invited to teach at their alma mater, Fitch's Academy for Assassins. However, walking the grounds they find a young goblin being bullied by trolls. Literal trolls!
Amalie is a first-year assassin student who shows great promise. She's smart, courageous, and seems unflappable in the face of trouble. Sophie sees something of herself in this young student and takes her under her wing.
Together, they investigate a new threat to the city: trolls want to undermine and take down the key leaders in Saurwind. They will even go as far as tainting the city's water supply.
As Sophie and Dank will soon discover, these trolls will go to even greater extremes to force Saurwind and all it's citizens to their knees!
When Augusta Kirilli discovers that someone wants to destroy her entire family, she needs to warn them. Warning her family, scattered all over the Qavnerian Protectorate, proves almost impossible and extremely dangerous. So she hires the one person who can reach them quickly—Lucinda Barkson.
Lucinda Barkson, tough and dedicated, with a mysterious past. She sets out immediately, armed with fourteen letters for the Kirilli family, a partially accurate map, and a dozen different weapons. And she soon realizes she faces warriors from the greatest military in the world—The Fey.
With its nail-biting pace and shocking twists, this thrilling novel continues Rusch’s masterful melding of epic fantasy and steampunk. Check it out!

HER HARDBOILED HART by DAVID TAYLOR
Her Hardboiled Heart is set in a dark world of private espionage, where 'Operators' do the jobs that fall outside the remit of British police and secret services. And Paul is never more at home than when he's lighting fires in that darkness.
Until one operation goes too far and he's given a new job: to watch a beautiful woman - Estelle.
Paul quickly disobeys orders to insert himself into Estelle's life. To save her. But Estelle isn't all she seems.
In fact, Estelle's in trouble because Estelle is trouble. And she's the exact sort of trouble Paul loves to get in. It starts as watching, but soon turns into a deadly game of cat-and-mouse across London’s rain-slicked streets.
Told in three parts, Her Hardboiled Heart is a dark, twisty espionoir about love, hate, lies and spies - and the history that made them who they are. It's super cool! Check it out!
Tales of the Bizarre: Dark Embraces is an anthology series of sci-fi and horror stories with an erotic twist. Each issue will feature new stories that are sure to feed your need for sexy sci-fi and horror.
This issue features three tales:
Bloody Date - A young woman breaks up with her boyfriend at a nightclub, only to hook-up with a sexy vampiress on the rebound. Things turn out great for everyone.
They Must Be Broken - A couple on a weekend getaway to an out-of-the-way cabin meet up with a tortured soul that has a vendetta against all men.
Date with Death - A man hooks up with a gorgeous redhead at a bar, only to discover that she has a very jealous (and divine) husband.
The Fog Within is a dystopian sci-fi 24 page comic book which follows what seems to be an average joe protagonist, Hunter, into this unfamiliar new world of a future with an unsuspecting and mysterious power. This story is like Days of Future Past.
In the present there is a catastrophic event that takes place. Shortly after, Hunter is suddenly pushed through a fog like portal, and he doesn't know how he got there. Cole and his elite rebels find and protect him from The Swarm, the soldiers in their era, and their leader in the shadows. They think Hunter is the answer to the prophecy they have been waiting to come true.

CHILD POSSESSION SERVICES: POSSESSED N' CONFUSED by JOHN WESTHOFF
The world has seen a rise in spiritual possessions over the last few decades. In response, the American government has outlawed any possession of minors and created state and federal programs to combat this threat to our safety. C.P.S. (Child Possession Services) is one such program. Constance Dhar is one such disgruntled employee. Connie works for the state division assigned to help bedeviled children remove unwanted spirits and recover. When a series of truly strange possessions begin popping up, Connie will have to decide if she cares about anything other than the bottom of a bottle and her betta fish.
This issue has Connie caught in the middle of the "legalize it" debate, as the town is heated over whether or not to decriminalize demonic possessions. She is dealing with the events of CPS(2021) and trying to salvage any relationships she can with the help of her only ally left.
From the Back Issue Bin of a Parallel Universe comes the first issue in the ostensibly long running series, The Sentinels.
The Sentinels' form in response to the attack on the United Nations Headquarters in New York by the Simian Savant, CYBORILLA!!
Although Roy has been publishing issues of The Sentinels for a while now, they've all been set in the Bronze Age of Comics. This time, it's the team's "first" appearance -- in the Silver Age style!!

WISHFUL THINKING VOL. 1 by JACK RAINES
My friend Jack is back with another ridiculously cool offering from his Wishful Thinking series!
What it's about:
Wishful Thinking is an urban fantasy comic about Jim, an ex-genie who's set up shop as a Wish Consultant in a version of our world where fantasy is beginning to meet reality.
Jim's business has been taken notice by a mysterious Fairy, who offers him a chance for a wish of his own if he's able to fix the wishes of three others. This challenge will put Jim in the eye of some dangerously powerful subjects, first of which begins in issue 2, where a Mafia has captured Jim's first client.
Martin is a cheap leprechaun who's fell into not-so-good graces with a tough crowd. They want to use his magic to discretely murder one of their own, but a wish of that severity just isn't in his power. Martin's first step was to get an actual genie, one with the power to make a wish like that. However djinn, no matter how much they may want to at times, can't kill. That's where Jim comes him, who aims to find a loophole that makes the impossible possible for the chance to get a wish of his own.
